ADM Agriculture operates from locations throughout England and offers a people-based quality service to farmers and consumers. As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM’s UK assets in milling and oil seed crushing, We supply a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertilisers

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Director of Global Feedstuffs the Financial Controller will be responsible for the management of the Accounting and Controlling department for ADM Agriculture Ltd.

Financial Reporting:
  • Lead and coordinate the month end and yearend financial close processes, working to reporting deadlines for submission of financial statements for consolidation at group level.
  • Provide accurate monthly management reports.
  • Work with the statutory accounting team to prepare annual statutory financial statements and oversee and coordinate the annual external audit.
  • Support FP&A initiatives, monitoring financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
Controlling:
  • Ensuring sufficient controls are in place and operating effectively to manage risks faced by the business.
  • Ensuring the business is working within the guidelines set out within the ADM accounting policies.
  • Manage the SOX narratives and update annually as well as ensuring controls are implemented and operating successfully.
  • Oversee and manage any internal audits that may take place from time to time.
Management:
  • Lead, motivate and develop the accounting/controlling teams based in Hemswell, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, treasury and administration.
  • Work with the commercial teams on a daily basis to provide support from an accounting and controlling perspective and build strong relationships with senior management for effective business partnership.
Your Profile
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • 5 years+ proven finance experience with at least 2 years+ in a management role.
  • Must be a positive and inspiring department manager who can bring people together as a team and support learning and development.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent business acumen with strong commercial aptitude.
  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, dynamic environment being able to meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a global organization.
