Basingstoke (Hybrid working - full and part time hours available)
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller or Management Accountant to join our clients close-knit team based, where you'll oversee the financial operations of their international consulting, training, and software organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring financial control and management accounts are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations
* Oversee VAT returns and compliance, maintaining meticulous records
* Handle payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for employees worldwide
* Execute treasury functions, including managing multi-currency bank payments and reconciliations
* Lead month-end close activities, reconciling accounts and preparing comprehensive reports
* Collaborate with international teams and external partners to ensure seamless financial operations
* Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to support business growth and compliance
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational organisation
* Proficiency in MS Office and financial systems; experience with QuickBooks is advantageous
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
* Proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
* Full-time or Part-time role with flexible remote and office-based work options
