Financial Controller

• Salary: £65,000-£75,000 Per Annum

We are seeking a Financial Controller to work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), supervising and controlling the accounting-related activities within the company. This includes overseeing the collection, analysis, and consolidation of financial data and assisting the CFO in the effective management of the company’s finances.

• Support the CFO in developing and maintaining financial controls, processes, and systems in line with statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with the executive team to establish more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of the company’s ledger.
• Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures.
• Provide executive management with accurate and comprehensive financial information for policy making and financial strategizing.
• Summarise budget trends, analyse deficiencies, and report variances to executives.
• Provide necessary documentation and support to external auditors.
• Liaise with external accountants for tax, payroll, and accounting preparation.
• Manage the finance department and the audit process.
• Prepare forecasts, management reports, and financial statements in a timely manner.
• Oversee budget reporting and variances and manage internal controls to minimize risk.
• Ensure compliance with Sales Tax, VAT reporting, and other tax authority requirements.
• Conduct payroll management and credit control overview.
• Deputise for the CFO as required and manage intercompany transactions.
• Perform detailed gross profit analysis and bank reconciliations.
• Manage daily cash flows across multiple bank accounts in various currencies.
• Provide financial KPI reporting including ratio analysis.

• Proven experience in a financial controller role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
• Solid knowledge of financial legislation and regulations.
• Proficient in the use of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
