Financial Controller

Manufacturing Business

Salford

Office-based 5 days a week. 35 hours. (flexitime considered)

Salary up to £75,000

This leading Manufacturing business is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Financial Controller to lead the finance function and help drive the business forward in line with their growth plans.

Key duties:-

  • Production of monthly management accounts including commentary and supporting schedules
  • Manage a finance team of 5
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • WIP analysis, including job reviews with project managers
  • Job and profitability analysis
  • Cashflow management
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Manage the year-end audit
  • Statutory accounts production
  • Drive continuous improvement and streamline processes
  • Review VAT/PAYE and other treasury returns
  • Key contact for bank and external factoring

This position is ideal for a candidate with a sharp attention to detail and the ability to discern opportunities to enhance value.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be required to confidently present ideas and enhancements to key stakeholders within the organization.

Proficiency in Excel, ranging from intermediate to advanced levels, is necessary, along with experience in constructing financial models for forecasting purposes.

While preference will be given to candidates with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, consideration will also be extended to Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates who can showcase their team management skills and track record of adding value.
