Financial Controller

CMA Recruitment Group is currently representing an SME business in Southampton, on an exclusive basis, with their search for an Interim Financial Controller. An esteemed manufacturer in the construction sector is currently seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to join their team on a part-time basis.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will spearhead the finance function, overseeing day-to-day operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive candidate to lead a small finance department and contribute to the success of a thriving organisation.

What will the Financial Controller role involve?

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director in a number 1 finance role;
• Producing all monthly, quarterly and year end management information;
• Financial statutory reporting;
• Responsible for a managing the finance team of three including staff development;
• Cash flow monitoring and supplier management;
• Budgeting and forecasting;
• Responsible for all HMRC reporting requirements etc. VAT returns, CIS, PAYE and CT.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller Vacancy:

• Qualified or qualified by experience;
• Sage Line 50 experience essential;
• Construction Industry experience advantageous;
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Additional benefits and information:

• The working pattern is flexible, allowing for up to 24 hours per week. However, availability on Mondays and Fridays are essential.
