Based: Denton/Audenshaw area

Salary: up to £65k + bonus + benefits + opportunities to progress

My client is a rapidly expanding, private equity backed distributor based in the East Manchester area. The business has doubled turnover in the last 5 years with further strategic plans for the next couple of years to continue growth - organic & acquisitions. Role:

• Providing strategic and commercial insight to the SLT, supporting overall strategic sales and profit growth objectives
• Taking a lead on all financial planning including forecasting, budgeting and cashflow management
• Developing and controlling the annual budget to ensure financial targets are robust, achievable and met
• Producing monthly management accounts pack including commentary from budget owners on performance vs prior year and vs budget
• Supporting the business in control of pricing, discounts, FX and stock management to maximise gross margins
• Utiltising PowerBI to provide detailed and real time commercial analysis
• Supporting CFO and FD with all financial and statutory regulations, taking a lead on the audit and statutory accounts preparation and managing external relationships with banks, auditors, consultants
• Maintaining 12-week cash flow forecast, making recommendations to improve cashflow and operating profit
• Responsible for financial control environment and overseeing all financial activities
• Leading a team of 7 (direct line management 2) developing and coaching to deliver finance targets accurately and on time at month end
• Business partnering with wider business (Sales Director/Commercial Director) on commercial tenders, gross margin maximisation and implementing price increases/policies

Experience:

• ACA (first/second time mover) OR ACCA/CIMA industry trained
• FMCG/Stock experience advantageous
• PowerBI experience advantageous
