The recruitment group is working with an SME business based in Salford who are looking for a Financial Controller to join their business.

Purpose of the Financial Controller

The Financial Controller role will report directly into the Senior Management Team. This is a broad role and will provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to undertake a core finance role whilst supporting and partnering with the wider business, to drive commercial and operational improvements.
Main duties and responsibilities of the Financial Controller
. Production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
. Provide commentary and analysis to explain variances and identify trends.
. Balance Sheet controls and reconciliations
. Cashflow forecasting.
. Managing the budget and forecasting processes
. Assisting with financial analysis and ad-hoc requests
. Identifying areas for automation - The company has recently implemented a new company-wide system.
. Proactive in the development of improvements of processes, controls, and systems
. Management of a small finance team
Experience/knowledge requirements for the Financial Controller

. Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA

. Strong Excel and data handling skills
. Experience of producing accounts, KPIs and reports
. Experience of managing small teams
