Sheridan Maine is pleased to partner with a leading manufacturing organisation based in Bristol. Our client is aspiring to be a UK leader in its market.  As the business grows, they are seeking a talented and experienced Financial Controller to join their dynamic team.

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in leading the finance function of the business. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving business success.

Your responsibilities as the Financial Controller will include:
  • Lead and manage the finance function of the organisation.
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management to support decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to offer comprehensive support as needed.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and financial institutions.
  • Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

To be considered for the role of Financial Controller, you will require:
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
