Job Title: Financial Analyst (Reinsurance Solutions)

An exciting opportunity for an ACA or insurance professional to join a high calibre team of ex-sell-side equity analysts/bankers, analysing insurance company accounts and the reinsurance market. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

What the day will look like

• Analysing the financial statements of insurers and reinsurers
• Producing high quality research materials on the global reinsurance market
• Working with colleagues across reinsurance solutions to deliver cutting edge advice to insurers on reinsurance, strategy and capital
• Presenting to clients and colleagues on reinsurance market conditions
• Strategic conversations with reinsurance buyers and insurance executives

An exciting opportunity for an ACA with experience in insurance or insurance professional to transition into the world of reinsurance broking and build knowledge of financial analysis and insurance company strategy.

Business Intelligence is a team of financial analysts who sit within Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business. The team analyses the financial information of insurers and reinsurers to produce cutting edge research on the reinsurance market and drive strategic conversations with our insurance clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Knowledge of non-life insurance accounting (e.g. IFRS 17)
• Excellent academics
• Strong appetite to learn and ambition to become a leading expert on the reinsurance market
• Highly analytical with good knowledge of MS Office
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• ACA or other professional qualification advantageous
• Foreign language skills advantageous, but not essential
