Financial Analyst (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Kidlington, UK

We're excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will be pivotal in ensuring the financial accuracy of our offers, aiding in project planning, forecasting, and maintaining internal controls within the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Management Team to validate campaigns/offers, ensuring financial precision.
  • Utilize the Primavera scheduling tool to develop comprehensive project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules for contract proposals.
  • Assist in generating Estimate at Completion forecasts by meticulously examining P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  • Monitor deviations from the plan and facilitate cost forecasting through updated forecasting models.
  • Uphold adherence to company policies, procedures, and accounting standards for effective risk management.
  • Ensure billing milestones are meticulously monitored and aligned with contract specifications.
  • Manage project reporting within SAP system for training and repair projects.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports as required, covering areas such as hours, productivity, and project costs. Liaise with external auditors when necessary.
  • Serve as a SAP Key User for the CO module, including acceptance testing and ticket management.
  • Collaborate with the Information Management (IM) team to enhance financial processes within SAP, ensuring continuous updates to functionality.
  • Evaluate and review SAP roles for optimal efficiency.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP FI and CO with extensive experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of accountancy principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Structured and methodical approach to planning and tracking.
  • Proficient in report and procedure writing.
  • Sound knowledge of work package management and control.
  • Awareness of risk management principles.
