The individual will be tasked with owning or significantly contributing to tasks and responsibilities across the Finance function, so this role will offer variety as well as plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skills, experience and career further. Lastly, you would be joining a friendly and professional office offering hybrid working and good work-life balance.

Profile Criteria:

  1. Part-Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) from ideally either the investment or asset management sectors (but our client is happy to be open-minded and will consider candidates from wider financial services or outside financial services) with university degree (a bachelor’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred)
  2. 2+ years relevant work / accounting experience
  3. Confident user of Excel with knowledge of (or interest in) of coding a bonus (but not essential)
  4. Good communication skills with a confident personality to be able to build relationships with stakeholders

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Support the month-end close of key processes including revenue, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unreconciled items.
  • Prepare monthly client invoices and provide insightful analysis on profitability by revenue streams and accuracy of month-end estimates and key inputs.
  • Assist with audit requests / queries.
  • Maintain effective internal controls in line with the Group policy.

Management Reporting and Financial Analysis

  • Help in investigating variances and producing value-add management reports for business unit heads monthly for decision support and budget tracking.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the business unit teams

Process improvements:

  • Drive continuous improvements in the month-end close process and help increase productivity through automation of reports and processes. Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to implement change.

Data integrity:

  • Actively work on improving data integrity and quality to mitigate business risks.

Ad-hoc analysis:

  • Perform analysis as required by senior management and other stakeholders.

Additional:

  • Some additional duties may be asked / assigned such as supporting various projects.
