Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s market leading client are keen to add a Financial Accountant to the current team on a permanent role in Glasgow.

Key duties of the role included:
  
  • In charge of producing monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts to facilitate financial reporting.
  • Responsible for the management accounting for several group companies’
  • Guarantee the timely completion of monthly closing procedures, ensuring accurate and precise recording of transactions.
  • Consistently assess processes to enhance workflows associated with the closing procedure, aiming to boost the efficiency of the reporting process.
  • Have been involved in accounting for the takeover of new companies and assets.
  • Submitting monthly/quarterly VAT and CIS returns to the appropriate tax authority and managing payments to settle any liabilities.
  
Qualifications:
  
  • ICAS / ACCA /CIMA Qualified Accountant with relevant PQE
  • Strong analytical skills and able to deal with a variety of financial reporting and finance system related queries.
  • Proven experience in dealing with a client portfolio and working towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Prior experience in property is beneficial, however not essential for this role.
