Financial Accountant

We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a global engineering business in Weybridge, recruiting a Financial Accountant on a 3 to 6 month assignment.

The role is to cover a permanent employee relocating but due to a current hiring freeze must be replaced as an interim for an estimated 3-6 months. After this point, the role may extend or there may be a permanent position available, if suitable for both parties.

Please note, it is essential that you work 5 days per week in the office (no hybrid working)

Duration: 3-6 months
Rate: £400-500 per day (inside IR35 via umbrella company)

The Role

Finance & Financial Reporting

• Month, quarter and year end processes and relevant internal and external reporting
• IFRS 16 adjustments
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Prepare, Manage and support VAT / GST / WHT and other taxes compliance for the region
• Prepare and manage submission requirements to the Office for National Statistics
• Preparation of statutory accounts under IFRS/IFRS-country equivalent and management of smaller entity statutory accounts
• Leading annual Audits of smaller entities
• Companies house reporting in the UK and equivalent in other countries
• Management of Nigeria JV and preparation of Nigeria JV SAP entries, participation in other JV and PE establishments and other establishments (but not limited to) in Ghana, Egypt, Indonesia
• Ad hoc tasks and support for the finance team

Management Accounting & Reporting

• Monthly cost capitalisation calculations and postings
• Monthly analysis and monitoring of progress on WIP projects
• Management and reporting of project costs
• Support in quarterly impairment assessments
• Analysis of actuals vs budget vs forecasts
• Create monthly finance review for segment to be reported to key stakeholders
• Preparation of weekly scorecards, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets
• Ad hoc tasks

Your Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CA / CIMA)
• Strong Financial Accounting skillset - stats, tax, audit, etc.
• Nice human!
• IFRS advantageous, not essential
• SAP advantageous, not essential
• Available to start 15th May
