Role DescriptionThe Financial Accountant plays an important part in the day-to-day running and management of the Finance department of Academy Music Group. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the role manages the Capex process from a financial perspective, as well as other significant balance sheet accounts. This role also manages the Capex & Ticketing Accountant directly and supports the Senior Financial Accountant in reviewing Accounts Assistants’ work.
Our TeamThe team comprises approximately 18 individuals with a wealth of experience working within Academy Music Group/Live Nation and other organisations.
Whilst the role has ownership of specific functions, the emphasis within the Finance department is on teamwork. The smooth running of the department, and the company, is dependent on all individuals focusing on team goals as well as individual. This is particularly important around tight deadlines, at month end, and year end. We support each other by maintaining an atmosphere of approachability and are committed to building authentic and valuable relationships within the team.

Essential
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA, finalist/newly qualified, or qualified by experience
- Computer literacy - Excel and Outlook specifically
- Strong administration and time management skills
- Experience working in a busy finance department
Desirable
- SOX experience
- Capex experience
- Some prior people management experience
- Good working knowledge of debits and credits
- Experience using Oracle

- Management of the Capex accounts for Academy Music Group and Live Nation venues, including:
o Monthly reconciliations and reporting oBudgeting and forecasting
o Business partnering with the Property team and venue/divisional management
- Balance Sheet reconciliations including, but not limited to: oAdvanced ticket sales oPRS/Licensing oFEU
- Assist with review of Accounts Assistants’ reconciliations, as required by the Senior Financial Accountant
- Review weekly payment runs in accordance with SOX controls
- Compile year-end audit files
- Ad-hoc analysis and tasks
