Financial Accountant - 12-month FTC (potential to go permanent) – North Manchester - £30,000 - £40,000 DOE (Hybrid & Flexible working)

Axon Moore is exclusively currently working alongside PE backed business who are embarking on a period of exceptional growth which has presented an opportunity to enhance the finance team for a 12- month FTC (potential to go permanent). Working in a shared services centre, this Financial Accountant role will have significant breadth of responsibility and provide great exposure.

Reporting into Chief Accountant ,the position is ideally suited for individuals with a background in audit, management accounts, transactional finance and building external relationships.

Main Duties

Working as part of the finance team to complete the Month end process & reconciliations.
  • Month-end: preparation, journal postings, assisting with intercompany reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the audit, statutory accounts, and tax compliance.
  • Assisting with VAT returns, providing analysis for Corporate Tax, ensuring accurate payments
  • Continuously support the finance team with any other ad hoc requirements


The ideal candidate:

  • Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA
  • Background with exposure to audit, month end and transactional finance.
  • Inquisitive and adaptive attitude, with fantastic communication skills as you will be liaising with different parts of the business
  • Previous experience of SAP would be desirable
  • Advanced Excel skill set.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • An excellent team player, willing to help in other areas of the business if and  where required
