Financial Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure efficient and accurate invoicing and cash receipt processes. Compliance with regulations is paramount, and the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Prepare accounts payable invoices across all schemes.
• Conduct weekly Management Information Reporting.
• Perform financial analysis to inform and support decision-making processes.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and systems.
• Assist with internal and external audits as required.
• Maintain effective relationships with suppliers and clients.
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives.
• Oversee the work of an assistant within the finance team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA part/qualified.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting, with a preference for experience in the healthcare/insurance sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software, MS Word, and Excel.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare/insurance regulations and compliance standards is advantageous.
