Financial Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant for an international firm situated in Basingstoke. This role entails managing the production of statutory accounts across the Group and providing technical accounting assistance to the wider team. Additionally, there is a longer-term progression opportunity to advance to the role of Financial Controller.
We are seeking a proactive, qualified Accountant who will take the lead on core accounting functions and oversee a team of Financial Accountants. This position offers an ideal opportunity for professional growth and leadership development within the organisation.

What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

• Manage end-to-end production of statutory accounts for various legal entities.
• Lead project management for the statutory process and report to the Board.
• Coordinate the monthly debt consolidation process and ensure compliance with SOX controls.
• Act as the primary liaison for Auditors and serve as an in-house technical expert.
• Execute ad-hoc technical accounting projects and special reviews as necessary.
• Undertake additional projects as required.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a robust understanding of US GAAP/IFRS.
• Demonstrated experience in producing intricate statutory accounts for multiple entities.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and diligent with a positive approach to overcoming challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with senior members of the group and remote finance teams.
