We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team.


As the Financial Accountant, you will:

  • Financial Control - Assist in developing a robust financial control system, ensuring that it is adequate and is being consistently applied such that decisions are appraised prior to action and outcomes are analysed

  • Balance Sheet - Involved in the Business Balance Sheet. Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are understood, that balances are justified and that reconciliations are of a high standard

  • Cash - Assist in developing suitable financial procedures to optimise working capital and reporting techniques to express working capital and cash performance.

  • Group Requirements - Will be involved in the interactions with group functions (e.g. internal audit, tax department, SOX Compliance) and external parties (e.g. external audit) as required. Ensure that reporting and control systems are reviewed and modified to comply with group standards

  • Month End - Involved in specific month end tasks and ensure the process is robust and efficient and that all deadlines are met for tasks performed

  • A part-qualified accountant

  • Experience of month close procedures

  • Experience with process improvement and streamlining is preferable

  • Ability to multi task, work well under pressure and use own initiative

  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work autonomously and make decisions

  • Effective communication of financial information to non-finance people

  • Attention to detail

  • Positive and pro-active team player
