Jenson Fisher have been engaged on an exclusive basis by a dynamic and forward thinking organisation based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a full-time permanent basis. This role would an ambitious and driven recently qualified CA looking to gain well-rounded experience in a high-performing finance team. The successful candidate will ideally be stepping out of a practice and keen to secure their first Industry role.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will have wide-ranging duties including but not limited to:

  • All aspects of the month end accounts preparation for one of the main trading entities within the group
  • Preparation of financial statements for a number of legal entities.
  • Heavy involvement in the external audit process
  • Assist with daily cash management
  • Technical accounting support
  • Process improvements
  • Assisting with preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Reporting performance to key stakeholders
  • Analysis of profit and loss; comparing actuals to budget and forecasts
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc tasks and projects
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified chartered accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Previous experience of accounts preparation 
  • Knowledge of FRS 102 and group accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented
  • Highly proficient Excel skills
  • Team player
