Financial Accountant

Venture Recruitment Partners are helping a market leading automotive manufacturer in the Portsmouth area in their search for a Group Reporting Accountant on a contract basis. 

The Group Reporting Accountant will report to the Group Finance Director and will need to add value from the start whilst operating in a fast paced environment. This role is a 4 - 6 month contract and is paying £250 - £350p/d.

Group Reporting Accountant Duties:

• Responsibility for the management and financial reporting across the Group
• Prepare consolidated Group management accounts and Group reporting pack for the Executive and Board meetings
• Lead on project initiative to improve accuracy, integrity and speed of the month end close process
• Work with Group and country finance teams and the wider business on strengthening financial governance and controls environment
• Support Group and local finance teams in implementing changes to the finance systems as and when required
• Project manage and support the Group Finance Director in handling the audit fieldwork
• Ensure appropriate accounting policies are used across key accounting areas
• Work closely with the Group’s tax advisers to ensure compliance with corporate taxes across Group’s jurisdictions

• Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with an experience of working in/ with listed plc corporates
• Commercially focused with strong technical accounting skills
• Previous experience in consolidating management accounts from multiple business units/ countries
• Previous experience in dealing with foreign exchange and transfer pricing aspects
