Financial Accountant

As a Financial Accountant you’ll be supporting the Insurance Finance team in all aspects of general ledger accounting, month end close, maintenance of control accounts and reconciliations, working within the AR team and rest of the FR&C team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be working within the AR team across all Insurance entities.

Key Accountablities

• Preparation of daily bank account reconciliations.
• Registering incoming payments into the claims management system.
• Posting journals in the ledger as required.
• Raising payments and sending them off for sign offs.
• Reviewing and clearing down control accounts
• Support in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, especially around month end.
• Raising ad-hoc invoices
• Ideally you will come from an accounting background, including experience in journal entries, reconciliations and maintenance of control accounts.
• Whilst being part-qualified would be desirable, we would be happy to look at candidates qualified by experience
• Experience working on reconciling large volumes of data.
