Salary up to £50k (DOE)

Lusona Consultancy have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accountant to join our client within the global service sector, based in Glasgow City Centre. Perfect for a newly qualified accountant.

Within this role you will be responsible for supporting the financial controller with various aspects of accounting including reporting, month end close, annual audits and financial operations. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the end to end monthly and year end close processes.
  • Explaining financial performance and providing corresponding external and internal reporting.
  • Producing annual financial statements
  • Driving process improvement across finance.
  • Monitoring internal controls and compliance procedures (including specific tax regulations).
  • Providing support for projects within finance as and when required.

Applicants will be ambitious Qualified Accountants (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW). Suitably qualified by experience or exam finalist will also be considered. This role is suitable for those from an industry and commerce, accountancy practice or financial services background. Perfect for those looking to make their first post qualified step in their career. Ideally you will be IFRS and UK GAAP literate. You will have an enquiring mind and enjoy working with various stakeholders to drive improvement and collaboration.
