Financial Accountant £50-55K Warwickshire

Rare opportunity for a newly or recently qualified accountant to join a well-known employer. As a key member of the Financial Accounting team, you'll report directly to the Financial Controller and work closely with the CFO to deliver sound technical accounting guidance and reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the whole of Group Finance and work alongside senior management whilst gaining experience in a highly visible role. The role will be expected to work closely with other specialist teams within the Finance Department including Tax, Group Treasury, FP&A and Investor Relations.

Role

* You'll manage new accounting requirements and standards ensuring the business stays up to date and compliant.
* Draft and maintain documentation to support accounting for complex areas.
* Act as key point of contact for technical issues internally for Group Finance and externally with auditors communicating business situation and presenting when required.
* Guide finance teams through the implementation of new accounting standards and associated business impacts.
* Support month-end, period end and year-end processes.

Candidate

* ACA/ACCA Qualified
* Experience of operating in a large FTSE 350 listed company environment either as an Auditor in Practice or Financial Accountant in industry.
* Undertaken research into technical accounting issues and provided appropriate recommendations for implementation within the organisation.
* Intellectual ability to handle complex technical financial reporting/accounting issues.
* Keen problem solver with strong working knowledge of IFRS.
