Financial Accountant - 12 month FTC

Our client, a highly dynamic and successful company based on the outskirts of Exeter, requires a Financial Accountant to join their team on a fixed-term 12-month contract.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and completing financial statements for group entities and liaising with other group subsidiaries and JVs to collate and review information to complete Group Consolidated statements.
• Coordinating, managing and acting as the main contact for annual external audits ensuring that accurate and robust working papers and supporting information are produced by the finance team.
• Assisting in financial planning, highlighting any risks or opportunities for the organisations and developing financial models for specific projects, to be presented to boards for decision-making.
• Acting as a key partner to business advising on technical financial structuring and tax planning.
• Providing expert and specialist advice on accounting policies and procedures and identifying and mitigating financial risks of business opportunities and projects.
• Liaising with external advisors on the production of entity tax calculations ensuring that all tax filings are made in a timely manner and providing expert advice on procedures and relevant legislation and returns for tax arrangements.

About You:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA: Technically confident accountant with the ability to understand complicated accounting scenarios.
• Analytical with excellent attention to detail
• Knowledgeable in financial software, our client uses Sage X3, Caseware and Excel.
• You are efficient, embrace change, and adapt strategies where necessary to align with evolving circumstances. You are open to new ideas and approaches that can enhance our operations.

Package:

• Up to £50k DOE
• 12-month fixed-term contract
• Full or part-time (min 4 days per week)
