An exciting interim position has arisen for a Finance Processing Consultant to join a nationally recognised Membership Body. The role will be supporting the Head of Finance Operations to create finance manuals documenting key transactional finance processes.  The post holder will need to have an excellent understanding of finance transactions in a large, complex environment and have a good understanding of process mapping.

Key responsibilities:

  • To work with the Head of Finance Operations to accurately map out transactional processes
  • Work closely with the Accounts payable department to understand procedures
  • Work closely with the Accounts receivable team to understand procedures
  • To break down complex financial tasks into step-by-step processes and make sure each task is mapped out, ensuring a smooth flow from start to finish
  • To create concise process maps for the finance team to use moving forwards  
  • To improve clarity ensuring on-time completion of tasks, including making payments, following up on invoices and various reconciliations
  • Investigate processes and provide suggestions for improvements to the finance team

Successful candidate profile:

  • At least 5 years experience working in a finance team
  • Extensive Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience in writing finance process manuals
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

Hours: 35 per week

Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)
