This position is for a diligent Finance Process Assistant in the leisure, travel and tourism industry, who can provide robust support to the Accounting & Finance department in a well-organised and precise manner.

Our client is a renowned entity in the leisure, travel and tourism industry, with a workforce of over 500 employees. They are known for their commitment to preserving and promoting cultural heritage.

Description

Your duties will include:

  • Day to day operation of producing and processing sales invoices
  • To assist with the processing of purchase invoices as required
  • Work with other team members to ensure that the month end process timetable deadlines are met
  • Work with budget holders and other staff to ensure correct coding and authorisation levels are maintained
  • Deliver excellent customer service to budget holders and internal staff
  • Ensure that working relationships with external customers and suppliers are of a high professional standard at all times

Profile

Successful candidates will need:

  • Solid understanding of double entry bookkeeping and reconciliations
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • able to review info supplied for consistency and accuracy of expected coding and VAT treatment
  • Good IT skills
  • Able to meet strict deadlines
  • Good practical experience of using cloud-based finance system
  • Experience of dealing with significant volume of transactions
  • Relevant VAT experience desirable
