Novax Recuitment is actively seeking a Finance Officer based in Colwyn Bay. This is a contract role working full time hours.

The job:

• To be responsible for the processes involved with service expenditure and some departmental income
• To be responsible for the maintenance both manual and computerised record systems in-line with audit requirements such as authorised signatories list etc.
• To support budget holders with the required financial monitoring reports, providing analysis where required.
• To process, input and extract data held on the finance sections recording and interface systems to include preparation of journals as required.
• To work with the Senior Finance Officer to provide support the Service Management Team and Budget Holders on financial matters including budgets, technical issues and management reporting.
• To be responsible for financial services within the Social Services business units.

The candidate:

• Experience working in a similar role
• Strong working knowledge of finance and accounting systems
• Experience of working in a finance environment in a social care/education/public sector environment desired
