Finance Officer - Working from Home Opportunity

Cardiff Based

Temporary for approx. 5 Months

£18.00 - £19.00 Per Hour plus Holiday Pay

Are you immediately available for work and looking for the opportunity to work for a fantastic charitable organisation based in the local area?

If so, an excellent temporary assignment has arisen for an experienced finance officer. The role is being offered on a temporary basis for approximately 5 months. The role will be home-based (all equipment provided) with occasional travel into their offices for training and management meeting purposes.

The successful candidate will be a minimum of AAT qualified and held a similar position previously. Working with the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for the finance activities of the charity. You will be responsible for reviewing grant claims, budgeting, analysing costs and supporting the team with the day to day finances and understanding of all the financial matters within the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with project managers in order for them to understand their financials
  • Running reports for the Senior Management Team
  • Assisting with the monthly invoicing and raising, sending and chasing of invoices
  • Reconciliations
  • Processing and paying expense invoices
  • Costing projects / grant claims
  • Monitor income and expenditure
  • Advice and support to the weekly Senior Management Team meetings

Person specification:

  • AAT qualified or working towards
  • Previous experience of working within the charitable sector and dealing with grant claims would be highly advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Systems experience
  • Strong attention to detail

The suitable candidate will possess a strong numerical and analytical background and have strong Microsoft Excel skills to intermediate level. This is a great opportunity to work for a fabulous organisation that would undoubtedly add value to your CV.
