About the role

ENGIE are recruiting for a UK Finance Manager based in ENGIE's main offices (Leeds and Newcastle). This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract role, working full time Monday to Friday.?On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting for a significant Group Holding Company with c£6.5bn Equity Value. · Approx. 45 UK Corporate Subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for all UK Corporate Reporting requirements in relation to the UK as well as UK Consolidation, local Financial Controllers are responsible for local operational UK entities.
  • Responsible for UK Statutory Reporting and the key relationship with the external auditor.
  • UK FP&A requirements where necessary. Local FP&A report directly into the Global Business Units, but UK FP&A will be required on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Ensure a robust environment to meet controls, reporting, regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Take the lead on identifying gaps in financial policies and filling them in a timely manner; ensuring all is in line with accounting standards and the Group accounting policies and principles
  • Ensure DLAs and ensure compliance, taking necessary steps to safeguard the UK’s assets.
  • Monitor business performance and provide accurate and timely reporting and management information to all stakeholders
  • Ensure that the UK Finance team is resourced, informed, motivated, and trained to meet business objectives
  • Drive continuous business improvement and efficiency on all areas in the UK to ensure best practice is achieved and shared across the portfolio

Key Requirements

  • Professionally qualified and extensive post qualification senior Finance experience
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA .
  • Proven strong Finance Leader
  • Exposure to Corporate Holding Company Accounts & Regulation Systems: MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of ERP system.
  • Seen as an expert in own area of functional/technical expertise; including ownership of statutory reporting competence
  • Understands the marketplace, customers and current and potential competitors.
  • Handles complexity both in scope and number of issues.
  • Demonstrates a passion and excitement for his/her work.
  • Actively pursues, and makes the most of, customer networking and business development opportunities.
