Finance Manager
Our client is a well established and successful manufacturing business with a small and friendly team. As a finance manager you will be responsible for overseeing the finance department ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day tasks. You will also need to ensure all group finance requests/reports are completed in line with guidance.
Skills Required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent IT skills (SAP experience desirable)
- Hold relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant technical knowledge and experience in accountancy.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience of managing other people.
Key Duties:
- Preparation of monthly reports to group and local management.
- Reconciliation of various accounts (inventory, fixed assets etc.)
- Other monthly and quarterly finance reports (Balance sheet, Cash reports, KPI figures)
- Preparation of annual and semi-annual P&L report packages
- Cashflow monitoring and forecasting.
- VAT reports
- Preparation of budgets
- Preparation of statutory accounts
- Liaising with external auditors
- Back-up on payroll and accounts payable
- Approval of rebate credit notes.
- Take part in the appropriate training required to carry out the duties of the post and to enhance personal development.
- Take responsibility for your own Health and Safety always ensuring that you comply with company policies and procedures.
- Any other relevant task that is required
- Ensure reports as stipulated by group finance are submitted in-line with Reporting target dates.
- Ensure VAT Returns are submitted in line with HMRC deadlines.
- Ensure that information is provided to the external auditors in line with agreed deadlines.
Full or part time will be considered, from 3-5 days.
