Finance Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated Finance Manager to join their team in Doncaster. This role offers an attractive salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 and the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment in the industrial sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance function within the entity. They will have hands-on involvement in various financial responsibilities, including preparation of annual financial statements, monthly management reports, and quarterly audit committee meeting information.

Additionally, this role involves treasury management and oversight of tax-related submissions. As part of the executive management team, you'll have the chance to make significant contributions to the company's financial strategy.

Furthermore, they will engage in ongoing reporting and provide insightful perspectives on critical cost areas across the Profit and Loss statement. This multifaceted role contributes significantly to the achievement of the organisation's financial and strategic objectives.

What you'll do:

As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction of the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks from preparing detailed financial reports to managing treasury operations. You will also be responsible for overseeing tax-related submissions and managing both internal finance staff and external advisors. Your role will extend beyond traditional finance duties as you will form part of the executive management team, contributing significantly to strategic decision-making processes.

• Prepare and oversee annual financial statements, disclosure packs and other reporting requirements
• Prepare monthly financial information for management and group reporting
• Compile quarterly audit committee meeting information and group company compliance reports
• Manage treasury operations including banking relationship management, facility oversight and working capital management
• Oversee preparation & submission of tax related information to HMRC and other statutory returns/requirements
• Manage finance staff and external advisors related to finance, audit, secretarial, supplier and customer finance/terms
• Participate as part of the executive management team alongside the Managing Director and other function heads
• Oversee internal financial controls with an aim to continuously improve without hindering profit generation

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager position should have proven demonstrable experience of working in a finance related role. You should have a sound knowledge and understanding of IFRS and the operational environment. Your background includes strong expertise in financial reporting, treasury management, staff management, and/or tax-related submissions. You are adept at improving internal financial controls without hindering profit generation.

• Ideally qualified accountant with proven demonstrable significant experience of working in a finance related role
• Sound knowledge of IFRS
• Well organised, effective communicator, both written and oral, possessing good interpersonal skills
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and treasury management
