Finance Manager

Robert Half are partnering with our client, a large business based in Bristol, in their recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent contract. Leading a high-performing team of transactional finance staff, you will be responsible for the oversight of financial reporting, controls, treasury, audit, AP & AR.

It's a role that will offer excellent business exposure to senior finance stakeholders and those outside of finance (FD and operations) including being involved in analysis, decision making & managing KPIs.

Hybrid working is supported (3 days PW in the office), but more "in office" time should be expected during month end periods.

Salary on offer is up to £65,000 + car allowance + strong bonus + wider benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate the external audit and internal audit
• Have responsibility for financial reporting, delivery of the strategic plan and transactional processing
• Co-ordinate the FX reporting, including month end reporting, quarterly forecasting, review of hedge requirements
• Ensure a robust financial control environment is maintained
• Co-ordinate balance sheet reviews
• Manage the AP & AR teams to deliver an efficient and cost-effective service
• Have responsibility for VAT and statutory reporting
• Manage reporting requirements under IFRS 16
• Actively manage team members with a view to develop their careers

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA)
• Large company experience incl experience of IFRS reporting
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Ideally prior experience of overseeing end to end transactional processes
• Ideally prior management experience
• Strong communicator - prior experience in working with non-finance & senior stakeholders
