Our client, a firm working within the Construction Industry based in Twyford, has a new position for a Finance Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be working 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days (the choice is yours) in the companies offices. Working within a small Finance Team and reporting to the Managing Director, duties will include: -

  • Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
  • Supervising the finance team with 3 staff
  • Producing timely and reliable monthly management information reports for the Finance Principal and the board of management, investigating variances against budgets and providing analysis of differences.
  • Preparing annual budgets, half year and quarterly forecasts all with commentary on risks / opportunities.
  • Ensuring that all financial targets are met.
  • Supporting the Finance Principal and working together with multiple Principals and teams, as necessary, across the firm in order to deliver solutions.
  • Support the Finance Principal to develop, document and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the firm.
  • Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the firm meets its financial and legal obligations.
  • Ad hoc duties.

To be considered for this role candidates should have experience managing a small accounts department within an SME although this isn't essential.
