We are currently working alongside a well-established business based on the outskirts of Burnley who are looking for an experienced Finance/Accounts Manager. The business has a long standing history in the area and a true family feel, with most of the workforce being there for over 10 years, due to retirement they now require a new finance leader in the business so this is the chance to really make your mark in the role.

The role will involve: -

  • Streamline all the transactional reporting and nominal coding of the business

  • Manage the purchase and sales ledger, including accountable for invoices

  • Develop accountability around expenses and overhead spend

  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany transactions

  • Develop the annual forecasting process providing more accuracy around cost centre management and budget control.

  • Produce accurate P&L analysis, cash flow and forecasting process to develop year on year growth

  • Manage the HMRC, VAT calculations, bank calculations/governance

  • Be the main point of contact for the auditors, banks and external parties

Already you will have experience of working in an autonomous role where you are the lead person in finance for all levels across the business both internally and externally. You will have working knowledge of sage as well as strong excel skills, and ideally have experience of working alongside owner managers.

The successful candidate will be fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA but a strong background in senior reporting may be considered for the right candidate. This is an exciting business to join that continues to grow and moving forward you will be involved in developing the organisation further and providing tight controls and processes that will be required for that growth.
