Finance Manager / Accounting Technician / Ballymena / Permanent opportunity
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a client in Co Antrim who specialise in the construction industry and are actively recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their team and oversee the finance function.
This is a full time permanent opportunity, ideally office based.
Reporting to the company Directors, the Finance Manager will oversee a team of 3 staff within finance and will provide a professional support to the finance department while taking the lead in the preparation of month end accounts.
More specific duties will involve:
Taking the lead in the preparation of Month-End Accounts and Group submissions within deadlines
Completion of control account reconciliations
Bank Reconciliation
Job Costing Management
Assistance with the preparation of Forecasts, Budgets, Statutory Accounts
Completion of all VAT returns including MTD submissions
Management of and assistance with the external audit process, ensuring a successful audit
Assistance with the management and development of junior members of the finance team
Managing Debtors and Creditors ledgers
Credit Control
The Person:
Applicants will have Strong MS Excel skills as well as a working knowledge of Sage software
Applicants will ideally hold a part professional qualification and will have previous accounts experience
Applicants will have an excellent understanding of accounting principles with a keen eye for detail
Applicants will be self-motivated and able to meet tight deadlines under pressure
