Finance Manager

Robert Half are excited to partner with an innovative business to recruit an SME Head of Finance.

In this role, you will lead their small finance team and directly report to both the Board and Senior Management team. Your duties will involve overseeing financial reporting, playing a key role in shaping short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategies, and fostering close collaboration with the Senior Management Team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the Board and Senior Management Team
• Manage and mentor a 2-person finance team
• Drive improvements in financial processes and systems within the organization
• Oversight of company bank accounts and credit facilities
• Conduct cash flow and profit forecasting
• Coordinate month-end reconciliations and reporting
• Report on Project Profitability to Senior Management
• Review Cost Rates for budgeting
• Collaborate on annual budget preparation and reviews with department heads
• Analyze monthly financials and provide commentary for senior leadership
• Manage relationships with external parties
• Contribute to best practices and policy improvements in finance
• Lead finance team through annual external Audit
• Provide financial information for operational needs

Preferred Profile:

• ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified
• Proven analysis and business partnering experience
• Hands-on SME experience
• Ability to interaction with Senior Stakeholders/ C-suite/ Board levels.

Benefits Package:

• Base salary £60,000 - £70,000 + share scheme + enhanced benefits package.
