Finance Manager

 An established and growing local business, renowned for prioritising customer and client satisfaction, is seeking a Finance Manager to enhance its finance team. Located in central Plymouth with excellent transport links, the company services a diverse portfolio of businesses and requires a skilled individual with an organised and diligent approach to oversee and improve the financial function. This pivotal role acts as the main link between the Director and the Finance Team, including bookkeepers, credit controllers, and accounts assistants.

• Support the day-to-day execution of general ledger processes, offering guidance to colleagues in understanding these processes.
• Perform general accounting functions, including account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and resolving discrepancies.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Director and the Finance Team, ensuring smooth operation and effective communication.
• Oversee the financial function within the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

• Degree in Finance and Accounting from an accredited university, or AAT level 4 or above (including QBE) with industry experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar Finance Manager role.
• Competency with accounting software and proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft Office.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to enable communications with all stakeholders.
