REED are recruiting a Finance Manager for a small established Aviation Maintenance Company based at Bournemouth Hurn Airport. This is a stand alone position, reporting directly into the FD once a week who is based in Luxembourg.

Salary - £40,000, Part time hours will be considered, Office based

As a Finance Manager, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the finances within the business. He/she will be responsible for maintaining accurate sales ledgers, the collection of aged debts and to assist in achieving the monthly cash collection targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financials reports and closing monthly.
  • Managing Purchase & Sales ledger (Bookkeeping, Payments, Ageing monitoring).
  • Managing Payroll by being a key contact with external provider and Group HR.
  • Managing Bank accounts and Petty cash (daily reconciliation and administration).
  • Managing Company Credit Card.
  • Overseeing the annual financial audit.
  • Keeping internal controls and financial processes accurate.
  • Preparing VAT declaration monthly.
  • Being involved in Intercompany reconciliations with Group Finance.
  • Being involved in several administrative tasks acting as Company Secretary.

Profile:

  • A strong background in financial reporting and accounting.
  • 4 to 5 years accounting background.
  • AAT or similar and possibly looking to progress to ACCA or similar.
  • Good working knowledge of Sage is mandatory.
  • Good command of Excel and Word.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, flexibility, and attention to detail.
