DK Recruitment on behalf of our client have a really exciting Finance Manager position available in Plymouth for a forward thinking business. As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for developing and applying relevant financial and accounting systems and approaches.

In the role you will provide direct management of our small Finance team whilst also offering coaching and support to non - finance professionals in aspects of finance management and control.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with all financial statutory requirements including managing the year - end process and coordinating financial audits, in association with company accountants.

- Manage financial accounts, monitor, and report systems including the production of monthly management accounts inclusive of written reporting to the Governance and Strategy Team.

- Management and oversight of group cashflow forecast and bank reconciliations.

- Ensure accurate completion of VAT returns.

- Working with HR to collate Payroll data, ensuring it is compliant and accurate for payroll and processing in systems.

- Support data protection officers to ensure financial systems and processes are compliant with key legislation including data protection and payment card industry data security standards.

- Engage with the necessary members of staff and ensure the business is taking the necessary steps to maintain and reduce its carbon footprint whilst balancing cost.

- Support with the yearly budgeting process and development and management of programme budgets.

- Offer coaching and support to staff to upskill them in the effective use of our financial systems and processes,

Person Specification

- Looking for a dynamic individual who wants to embrace the visions and values of a forward thinking business.

- Minimum AAT or equivalent level qualification

- Experience using Xero financial management packages.

- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel

- High level understanding of statistical data
