Our client, a Distribution company to the Construction industry based in Epping, Essex has a newly formed position for a Finance Manager to join their team. Managing the Finance Department and reporting to the Directors, duties will include: -

  • Manage the finance department on a day-to-day basis
  • Supervising the finance team
  • Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions
  • Develop system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts, defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
  • Maintain, reconcile and balance subsidiary
  • Preparing accounts to trial balance
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Aged debtors - to manage the credit control process
  • Preparing monthly payroll, VAT and year end procedures
  • Improving the governance and day to day communication between the Project Managers in relation to costs, labour and materials

To be considered for this role candidates must have experience managing a small accounts department.
