Finance Manager - Luxury clothing

Onsite in South London (moving to North-East London in 2024)

I’m currently supporting a well-known Luxury clothing company that is looking for a Finance Manager. They currently work with some of the biggest luxury hospitality clients in the world including Fairmont and Raffles - Doha, Dorado Beach (a Ritz Carlton Reserve) - Puerto Rico, and London’s Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Four Seasons, The Goring, The Rosewood, NOBU, Claridge’s, and many more. The ideal candidate will have experience using Exero. You will ideally come from a fashion, retail or SME background and will report to the Finance Director. You will be confident under pressure.

role takes entire ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow and management accounts, while partnering with the sales and supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Full control over monthly management accounts
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliation
• Accruals, prepayments, and depreciation journals
• Analysis of P&Ls, margins, and variance
• Cash flow forecasting
• Budget implementation
• VAT returns
• Working with external accountants (on the statutory accounts) and outsourced payroll team
• Business partnering with other departments
• Expenses processing

Skills

• Experience in retail/FMCG/SME
• Accounting qualification or part-qualification
• Ideally proficient in Xero,
• .Advanced Excel skills
• You will be comfortable working under pressure.
• You will have great attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
