Barribal Associates are delighted to be working with a new client on an exciting opportunity with a well-regarded, exciting and high growth business.

The company is an innovative and dynamic service provider to a number of high-street named organisations as well as several who you’d have never thought of! They are recognised as a leader in their relatively niche market and are looking ahead to an enormously exciting next chapter of the organisation’s development.

This newly created position will jointly report to the Managing Director as well as the Group Finance Director and will see you take full responsibility for the Finance Department.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

  • Responsible for all steps within the financial procedures (including raising invoices, processing supplier invoices, stock, bank payments and receipt allocation, payroll).
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and controlled month end close process and production of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, tracking P&L risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor business performance versus budget/ forecast and provide meaningful variance analysis.
  • Production of month end management accounts and group reporting information.
  • Management of working capital and cash flow.
  • Management of bank accounts and any local financing agreements.
  • Production of annual budget (including full P&L, BS and CF) and reforecast information as required by the group.
  • Support the group’s external reporting cycle and audit, as required.
  • Responsible for year-end close, production of financial statements and completion of local audit, in conjunction with external service providers.
  • Responsible for on-time filing and payment of corporate taxes, VAT and payroll taxes including managing relationship with external service providers.
  • Identify areas of improvement to financial processes and reporting.

Applicants will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience of working in a SME, high growth environment. Working in a subsidiary of a larger group would be desirable. You will naturally be a highly motivated, self-starting individual with experience of working and delivering to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Your excellent interpersonal skills will build relationships with senior management and other stakeholders across the business, backed by a sharp intellect, visible work ethic, drive, ambition & resilience. But most important, will be your commitment to delivery, coupled with a career focussed desire to succeed.
