What you'll do:
As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the product and financial control function. You will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, reviewing and approving journal entries, managing accounts payable functions, working closely with Treasury for hedge accounting assessments, producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, preparing flash reports and management accounts. Your role will also involve forecasting financial results on a monthly basis, developing finance department policies, preparing annual financial statements, and liaising with external auditors.

* Manage the month-end close process including review and approval of journal entries in a timely manner
* Oversee the accounts payable function including processing payments, approval of related journal entries in the accounting system
* Work closely with Treasury for hedge accounting assessment and update hedge accounting workings accordingly
* Produce/review monthly balance sheet and income statement General Ledger code reconciliations
* Prepare month-end Flash report and management accounts
* Forecast financial results on a monthly basis
* Develop and regularly update Finance department policies and process notes
* Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from the financial services sector, preferably within Retail Banking. You will have exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial ledger systems are essential for this role. A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving is key. Experience of working as part of an international group would be advantageous.

* Experience of working in the financial services sector, preferably in Retail Banking
* Exposure to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial ledger systems
* Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
