I am working with Kirkby High School (L32 9PP) to find them a Finance Administrator for a fixed term contract from April/May 2024 to February 2025.

As Finance Administrator you'll provide routine general finance and administrative support to the school.

You'll work alongside another Finance Administrator and report to the school Operations Manager.

This role would suit a motivated and organised Administrator with experience of basic financial procedures and strong communication skills.

You will benefit from an excellent local authority pension, structured training and the opportunity to gain experience in the education sector.

Important Details:

  • Actual salary is £21,490 - £22,981.
  • Working 46 weeks per year.
  • 36 hours per week (Mon 8:30-16:00pm, Tues-Thurs 8:30-16:30, Fri 8.30-15:30
  • Pay Band E / SCP 7-11.
  • Fixed term contract May 2024 to Feb 2025.
  • May be flexibility on hours e.g. around the school run.

The Finance Administrator Must:

  • Have experience in a finance office or a recent finance qualification.
  • Be competent in word processing and have good IT skills.
  • Have GCSE grade C in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Use own initiative.
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, flexible, and well organised.
  • Be committed to high expectations.
  • Have good communication skills.
  • Be competent to liaise with pupils, staff, parents/carers, and outside agencies.
  • Be highly motivated and hardworking.
  • Be trustworthy and understand sensitivity and confidentiality within a school setting.

An Advantage but not Essential:

  • Experience of working in a school, academy, or other public sector setting.
  • Experience of PS Financials software.
