Finance Director Part Time

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are the retained partner to a privately owned, highly entrepreneurial, multi-site service sector organisation in the appointment of a Part Time Finance Director, 1 day per week to be based in South Yorkshire.

Having recently made a significant acquisition, the business has undergone a period of integration and is now poised for further organic growth.  Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with them to develop and model a strategic growth plan to ensure the business achieves both its medium- and long-term goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Highlighting any financial opportunities and threats facing the business, and ensuring strong working capital management
• Acting as a mentor to the Financial Controller and wider finance team, assessing capability and making recommendations
• Overseeing the monthly and year end reporting and ensuring they are delivered in a timely manner and are accurate
• Supporting the business with ERP Systems upgrades
• Act as a bridge between the FC and Business Owners to highlight the capabilities of the existing finance team
• Validating and optimising all existing financial processes & reporting
• Ensuring the monthly board packs are fit for purpose and for the future planned expansion
• Maintaining relationships with all external relevant advisors including auditors, banks and alternative lenders

Parkinson Lee Executive Search are looking for finance professionals that can demonstrate:

• Be a proven and successful Finance Director with Mult-Site Service Sector experience
• M&A experience – understands the challenges that come with integrating acquisitions
• ERP Systems Experience – ideally sage (as the company will be looking to upgrade the current finance system in the near future)
• Be available 1 day per week – on site in South Yorkshire, our client is looking for an individua based in the Yorkshire/East Midlands Region.
• Day rate of £750 - £1000 – depending on experience
