This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially- minded Finance Business Partner to join a PE backed group with ambition to grow. This is a new role which will work closely with operations and have an impact on decision making.

Main purpose of job: Lead finance analysis support to commercial (sales, marketing and commercial support) and operations functions, as well as ad-hoc project support. This is a newly created and high-profile role that will provide the post-holder unrivalled exposure across key aspects of the business as it undergoes an exciting transformation into the next phase of growth across the UK and international markets.

Essential skills:

• Ability to interrogate product/customer trading data to gross margin level and provide relevant insights for decision makers using Power BI and SQL queries

• IT literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience in working in a product sales environment

• Comfortable presenting insights to Senior Managers and C-suite

Desirable skills / experience:

• Exposure to a manufacturing environment

• An understanding of the medical devices market

Main tasks:

• Acting as a trusted partner to key stakeholders in the business across the Sales, Commercial, Marketing and Operations functions

• Analysis of a wide range of internal data from various key systems (ERP, CRM etc…) in order to produce timely and accurate financial insights for decision making and for identifying risks and opportunities

• Leading the budget, AOP (Annual Operating Plan) and reforecast cycles to gross margin level

• Active involvement in month-end reporting and monthly P&L and cost centre reviews with key stakeholders

• Use Power BI and SQL queries to develop quicker, accurate and more insightful reports to support achievement of sales, gross margin and EBITDA targets

Evaluate ad-hoc project financials (opex and capex) and report against progress to key stakeholders

• Use external data to form insights on the macro (market) environment and subsequent impact/implications
