Finance Business Partner

Robert Walters have partnered with a well established but rapidly growing organisation based in Reading, who are looking to hire an ambitious Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. Having recently gone through a significant expansion period, with plans to grow further through organic and acquisition lead growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical and commercial candidate.

Key responsibilities:

• Work with the Senior Finance Business Partner to commercially support this specific, project led business line. This will involve actively managing project portfolio performance, growth, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Take responsibility for financial analysis of project portfolios. This will involve acting as a key business partner to the internal operational leaders and project managers, to support with forecasting, reviewing performance, and preparing reports.
• In addition, this role will identify areas for business improvement and risk mitigation across the business line.
• Acting as a true business partner, this role will also work with these leaders to support with all financial planning, budgeting, and cost management.
• With support of the Senior Finance Business Partner, this role will ensure that revenue recognition policies are in line with business expectations, with a focus on IFRS 15.

Experience and qualifications:

• Finalist or newly qualified ACCA , CIMA , ACA (or equivalent).
• Previous business facing experience would be essential, with the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong analysis skills are vital.
• Experience within a project environment would be beneficial, although not essential.
• Similarly, knowledge of IFRS15 or revenue recognition experience would be beneficial but not essential.
• A positive and ambitious approach to work is essential, with the attitude to embrace a growing business and changes that come with this.

Other:

• Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 base salary (experience depending).

• Flexible working, typically onsite in Reading 3 days per week (with 2 days per week from home).
