Elvet Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a Finance Business Partner to join a Durham based business.

Working closely with the Finance Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and control processes. Your responsibilities will include facilitating continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

As an ambassador for ethical conduct within the organisation, you will inspire a culture of integrity, encouraging adherence to ethical principles at all times.

We are looking for an individual who can work under pressure, consistently meeting individual audit deadlines and contributing to the overall annual audit plan.

This is a hybrid working role with occasional travel to offices outside of the North East.

This is a newly created role due to business growth, this role offers further career development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of financial information.
  • Update weekly and monthly cash forecasts, identifying potential risks and opportunities for review by the Regional Finance Director.
  • Attend monthly Project Performance Review meetings to ensure project-level robustness.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance the value provided by the finance function to the broader business.
  • Provide best-in-class management information to regional teams, facilitating informed decision-making and highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Offer ad hoc analysis and support to various stakeholders, including the Regional Finance Director, central finance team, and Divisional Managing Director.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, with a willingness to develop skills in COINS, Anaplan, and CRM.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in quantity surveying, internal auditing, accounting, and related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • A valid driving license is required for this role.


The total package, inclusive of bonuses, may range from £55,000 to £66,000 for candidates with the appropriate level of experience.
