The finance team is embarking on a period of transformation and growth, focusing on modernising, and improving the support offered by the organisation within the borough. They are now looking to introduce a business partnering approach to enhance and support key services across the organisation.
As Finance Business Partner you will provide professional support and advice to the management of the assigned areas, ensuring the best use of resources and contributing to the strategic and operational management of the relevant stakeholder. You will be responsible for ensuring that proper financial attention is taken into consideration in any major decision affecting your area. You will build and maintain relationships with your assigned budget holders providing accurate and up-to-date reports, continuously looking to improve and develop the new Finance Business Partnering approach.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a finalist/qualified accountant with a good knowledge of budgeting, forecasting & delivering an effective and professional Finance Business Partnering service, ideally in a public sector setting. The ability to translate complex financial information to stakeholders of all levels and backgrounds to aid decision making is also essential.
