My client, a leading global manufacturing company, are looking for a Finance Business Partner (Supply Chain) to join their stunning offices in Warrington.

Finance Business Partner (Supply Chain)

Location: Warrington, Cheshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Finance Business Partner, with extensive experience in Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehousing. The successful candidate will be responsible for all supply chain financial reporting, providing insightful commentary on performance supported by detailed variance analysis. This role is key to driving demand to delivery performance through accurate financial reporting, analysis, continuous improvement and influencing key operational decisions across the area.


What you'll do:

As a Finance Business Partner (Supply Chain), you will play an integral role in supporting our operations. Your primary responsibility will be managing all aspects of supply chain financial reporting. You will work closely with various supply chain functions to analyse results, report key metrics to management, and provide valuable insights into cost drivers. Your expertise will also be crucial in managing monthly and quarterly closing processes, delivering accurate financial information, and challenging annual budgets. This role requires a strong understanding of freight-in cost, freight-out costs, stock management, warehousing, and various fulfilment models.

  • Supporting the operational and financial results for the UK cluster demand to delivery function.
  • Integrated working with each of the supply chain functions to analyse and report out to management the results of the area and the supply chain key metrics.
  • Act as the link between the Finance team and the logistics managers to truly understand and provide insight into the drivers behind the results/ costs for freight-in cost, freight-out costs including continual assessment of the various fulfilment models and options, stock management and warehousing.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly closing processes including cost accruals, inventory costing, FIFO, obsolescence and stock ageing reserves and balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations.
  • Deliver accurate, timely and effective financial information for the logistics department including monthly management accounts, reporting and tying into statutory accounts.
  • Challenge and provide input into annual budgets along with regular reforecasts using Excel modelling.


What you bring:

  • Extensive experience of business partnering with supply chain/logistics.
  • Solid understanding in freight-in, freight-out, warehousing and 3PL management.
  • Knowledge of supporting third party warehouse finances, and third-party logistical operations (transport and associated elements).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience of statutory reporting and a firm knowledge of working Cost to Serve models.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including V Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience of working with ERP systems.
